TEA PREPARATION

To ensure you get the best brew from your teas we advise you to follow the guide lines here below as for a good cup of tea several factors are important. The quality of the tea leaf and the correct preparation method are of outmost importance to get the best flavour , fragrance and colour to your tea

You should use the correct amount of tea, the water should be preferably non chlorine treated and should be at the right temperature (see temperature guide at the bottom of this page). Please note that the water should also only boiled just once, as boiling it twice would cause the carbon dioxide and other dissolved gasses in the water to escape which would result in an inferior brew. If your tap water is chlorine treated or too hard you may opt for non sparkling mineral bottle water low in sodium instead.

FOR CLASSIC TEA

Use a clean, pre heated tea pot.

Per cup add 1 teaspoon or 1 luxury bag of tea to your pot or cup (Experiment with the quantity as you go to suit your taste)

* Shock Freeze – When pouring the hot tea directly onto the ice the physics of “Shock Freezing” are applied. This preserves the active ingredients and the full aroma of the tea and further more prevents cloudiness witch often occurs in black teas when cooling off. Should cloudiness occur you may ignore it as it will not affect the taste or quality of your ice tea.
